Last week the UnWork team were at the flagship event WORKTECH25 London. We listened, we learned, and we laughed. But most excitingly? We launched!

Day one saw UnWork unveil its brand new WORKTECH Index, synthesizing 25 years of workplace research and consulting.

The new diagnostic tool is a significant step forward in how organisations measure and understand workplace experience – condensing a rigorous evaluation of employee experience into an engaging, eight-minute survey.

It captures feedback across six critical “moments that matter” — spanning workspace, technology and organisational culture — producing a detailed, actionable report that highlights strengths, pain-points and opportunities for improvement.

Responses are anonymised and aggregated, contributing to an ever-growing global benchmark that allows organisations to compare results across sectors and regions.

Workplace elements for collaboration and culture

In an era of rapid evolution in both physical and virtual workplaces, organisations are under pressure to deliver environments that are efficient, sustainable, and above all, human-centric.

The WORKTECH Index offers a practical, data-driven mechanism to navigate that complexity. Instead of relying on anecdote or assumption, employers can now measure what matters — how people actually interact with their environment, tools and culture — and align workplace decisions with evidence rather than instinct.

Looking ahead, UnWork invites any organisation eager to put experience at the heart of workplace strategy to try the WORKTECH Index — a quick, meaningful first step towards a smarter, more employee-centred future of work.
