Madi Hanc, PhD
Senior Researcher and Data Analyst
Madi is a Senior Researcher and Data Analyst at UnWork, leveraging advanced analytics to help organisations identify opportunities for innovation across people, place, and technology. She works closely with the consultancy team on a mix of projects, including workplace transformation, digital innovation, and employee experience mapping.
She is an architectural designer by training and has worked as an architectural editor, reviewing buildings for publications such as Phaidon. Her passion for exploring the relationship between people, the built environment, and society has taken her on a journey through academia, design studios, and corporate real estate consulting. Prior to joining UnWork, she worked at Leesman, leading workplace experience research publications and innovative product development, collaborating with clients across various sectors.
Madi completed her PhD at the Bartlett School of Energy, Environment, and Resources at University College London. Her work employed a novel methodology to explore the effects of hybrid working on knowledge worker productivity and well-being.

I am originally from Bucharest, Romania and have moved to the UK in 2012.
I am very much a morning person – I go swimming from 6AM three times a week (or I really try!)
I have a little boy Oscar who is my proudest achievement.
